“Bruce” - Chapters 2 & 3

CHAPTER 2
The Elvis chapter. “I need to make a horrific noise right now,” in a description of the story that we all know from “The Wish”. The Castiles, the Bruce-and-Doug conflict for real. This is the stuff that — right or wrong — I’ve been wanting to know the truth about for years.
CHAPTER 3
Bruce in college, and the at least halfway truth about that. More Freehold color, continuing from the previous chapter, and this stuff is important not because Freehold was that different or New Jersey was that different, but that there’s a couple of generations of fans who will read this who won’t know or remember what the 70s were like. The Earth period, and Bruce leaving OCCC. It is somewhat anticlimactic (based on tales from the past) but still, the truth is interesting and good to hear. (Or at least the halfway truth.)

Being able to read the story in a linear fashion, after years of having bits and pieces and bits and pieces and bits and pieces, is highly refreshing.
